Effective from March 2026, Marussia Beverages UK will be responsible for strengthening the brand’s presence in the market through specialist retail, on-trade, and e-commerce channels.

The partnership aims to expand Kavalan’s nationwide distribution network and gain valuable long-term brand-building expertise in the UK market.

Trevenon Weeks, managing director at Marussia Beverages UK, commented on the partnership: “We are absolutely thrilled to officially bring the award-winning house of Kavalan back to the UK. To represent a distillery that has so decisively claimed the world stage, securing multiple ‘World’s Best’ titles, is a genuine honour.

“Our entire strategy is built to match their ambition, reintroducing these exceptional single malts with the focus and premium stature they deserve. The UK’s discerning drinkers are in for a revelation.”

The partnership centres on a renewed emphasis on the Kavalan 15 Years Old Single Malt Whisky, introduced last year. The distillery’s first-ever age-statement release is now positioned as the flagship offering for its new phase under Marussia’s leadership.

Kavalan 15 Years Old Single Malt Whisky will officially launch in the UK on 9 March 2026, with a recommended retail price of £149 (US$) for a 700ml bottle at 46% ABV.

YT Lee, chairman of King Car Group, owner of Kavalan Whisky, said: “This is a bold new partnership for us and is designed to firmly establish Kavalan as the leading luxury single malt from a world whisky region. Central to this new era will be a focus on the Kavalan’s 15 Years Old Single Malt Whisky, our first-ever age statement release, as our flagship expression.”

In 2026, Marussia will support Kavalan’s targeted growth through strategic trade communications, enhanced media engagement, and visibility at key industry events such as Whisky Live and The Whisky Show, while laying the foundation for deeper educational initiatives.

Under the partnership, the companies are exploring immersive distillery experiences for key UK partners, starting in 2027, reinforcing Kavalan’s long-term commitment to education, terroir, and trade relationships.

Last month, Kavalan released its limited edition gift sets to celebrate the Year of the Horse.
