Johnnie Walker and Sabrina Carpenter light up LA

Diageo-owned Johnnie Walker staged the latest phase of its partnership with Manchild singer Sabrina Carpenter at the 68th Grammy Awards.

Carpenter joined Johnnie Walker on a multi-year partnership in August 2025 ahead of her Short n’ Sweet tour.

As well as promoting the singer’s tour and latest album, Man’s Best Friend, the partnership aims to evolve the way people enjoy whisky, bringing it to stadiums, music venues and nightlife destinations.

Furthermore, Diageo says the partnership opens Johnnie Walker up to a new audience and generation of drinkers, ‘injecting new energy into the whisky category’ by partnering with a ‘cultural trailblazer’ in Carpenter.

For the partnership’s latest phase, Johnnie Walker marked the 68th edition of the Grammy Awards on 1 February with a host of ‘high-impact moments’ in Los Angeles.

The activations included a cocktail projection over the city skyline, pre- and post-party experiences with Universal Music Group, and a Sabrina Carpenter-inspired exclusive party at Max and Helen’s on Larchmont Boulevard, which turned the venue into a fantasyland with cherry-themed décor and floral accents.

At the centre of Johnnie Walker’s Grammys presence was the Go Go Highball, Carpenter’s signature cocktail made with the brand’s Black Label whisky. The cocktail was served to the stars at some of the weekend’s biggest pre- and post-celebration events as Diageo looked to make the cocktail the ‘drink of the moment’.

John Williams, global head of whisky at Diageo, said: “Working hand-in-hand with the newest voice in the Johnnie Walker story, we’re excited to continue bringing a vibrant energy to the whisky experience.

“This moment is the perfect celebration of our partnership with Sabrina: raising a Go Go Highball to her progress and the incredible milestones she has achieved as an artist, against the backdrop of music’s biggest weekend.”

Carpenter was nominated for six awards at this year’s awards.

In addition to the serve, Johnnie Walker created a bespoke crystal embellished Highball clutch bag as a memento of the weekend for friends of the brand.

The Go Go Highball will be available at a selection of LA venues for a limited time, including Melrose Umbrella, Roger Room and Hotel Figueroa.

In other recent Diageo news, Tanqueray Gin named Sex and the City actor Sarah Jessica Parker as its global ambassador.

The firm also completed its sale of Sheridan’s yesterday (2 February), and exited its partnership with Starward last week.
