Solare is a Mediterranean apéritif made with 100% natural flavours, including sun-ripened Spanish lemon and clementine, with notes of botanicals such as rosemary and thyme.

Inspired by the Spanish sun and bottled at 11% ABV, the new apéritif offers a ‘refreshing, modern option for relaxed celebrations’ and aims to meet the global Spritz trend.

Vanessa Lehmann, head of communications at Henkell Freixenet, explained: “With Freixenet Solare, we are consistently focusing on natural flavours, Mediterranean moments of enjoyment, and an iconic design that immediately catches the eye.

“The new product combines modern enjoyment with high brand recognition and expands our portfolio with a category that is currently gaining in importance.”

The launch is supported by a campaign showcasing the Freixenet Solare Spritz that invites consumers to ‘taste the sun’ with every sip.

The serve consists of three parts sparkling wine, two parts Freixenet Solare, one part sparkling water, ice and a lemon garnish.

Solare will be available in a 700ml bottle in more than 15 countries worldwide, including Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Lithuania, from March.

An alcohol-free version will launch in June.

Henkell Freixenet distributes spirits including Licor 43, Ron Barceló and Martin Miller’s Gin.
