Disaronno UK invites bartenders to pitch seminar ideas
By Lauren BowesThe Pitch It Program from Disaronno UK invites bartenders to create an original seminar concept and the winner will be showcased at Edinburgh Bar Show.

The programme aims to help bartenders take the next step in their career, giving them the confidence to become industry thought leaders.
The winning seminar will be delivered at 3pm on 14 April at Edinburgh Bar Show.
To support the launch, Disaronno UK has created a new advocacy-led Instagram platform, @1525barsociety, encouraging bartenders to engage with its full product portfolio.
Applications opened on 2 February and will close on 20 March. The winner will be announced on 27 March.
Entries will be judged on innovation, scalability, uniqueness, practicality and audience engagement.
Contestants can use their seminar to explore any topic relevant to the on-trade, with suggestions including culture, technique and craft, innovation and creativity, or personal branding. Applicants are also encouraged to explore the Disaronno International UK portfolio, but are not confined to these products.
As well as being able to present their seminar, the winner will receive mentorship and presentation coaching from the Disaronno UK brand ambassador team, as well as support from a creative agency to build the seminar deck. Travel, hotel accommodation and hospitality in Edinburgh for the show will also be covered.
Another part of the prize is a media package with professional photography and additional PR support.
Rory O’Sullivan, prestige brand ambassador at Disaronno International UK, said: “Our Pitch It Program puts bartenders at the centre of hospitality. Bartenders in the UK are not only cultural drivers behind the bar but can directly shape the choices many consumers make outside of the on-trade.
“In premium bar environments, 38% of guests cite bartender recommendations as a top influence on what they order, and up to 95% of those recommendations reportedly convert into actual purchases every time or most times.
“By launching this programme, we’re investing in education, visibility and creative freedom – not only supporting the individual growth of bartenders but helping to foster a stronger, more connected hospitality community. We’re excited to see submissions roll in.”
According to CGA by NIQ data, Disaronno International UK was the only top 20 spirits supplier in growth in the UK on-trade in the 12 months to 22 March 2025.
