Clase Azul opens immersive brand home
By Georgie CollinsLuxury Tequila producer Clase Azul México has unveiled Casa de Los Leones, an immersive, design-led brand home in the heart of Mexico City.

Casa de Los Leones is located in the ‘culturally vibrant’ neighbourhood of Polanco, and is housed within a restored historic mansion that has been thoughtfully reimagined as an immersive destination dedicated to Mexican design, craftsmanship, and hospitality.
The resulting space has been described as a ‘richly layered’ environment that functions both as a gathering space and as a platform for contemporary Mexican design.
“Casa de los Leones is our homage to Mexico – a sacred home where our roots, our culture, and our future converge,” said Clase Azul founder Arturo Lomelí. “Clase Azul was never meant to live only in a decanter. This house represents a natural evolution of who we are: a place to gather, to share, and to honour Mexican culture through meaningful experiences, hospitality, and human connection.”
The brand home was designed by C Cúbica Arquitectos in collaboration with a group of leading and emerging Mexican designers and artisans to deliver a ‘seamless and immersive’ experience.
The space unfolds across multiple floors and rooms, with the lobby featuring an ornate ceramic tunnel that bridges the outside world with the universe of Clase Azul.

It also houses a rotating art installation that changes quarterly, and the inaugural work is by Oaxacan artist Amador Montes, a recent collaborator on the decanter for Clase Azul México’s first limited edition mezcal, and the first release from the brand’s new creative platform, Encuentros.
The interiors, furnishings, and artworks have been conceived as extensions of the architecture rather than independent statements.
Custom-designed and curated pieces have been developed in close collaboration with Mexican artisans and designers, emphasising ‘honest’ materials such as wood, ceramics, and textiles.
The ceramics play a particularly central role, reflecting a deep connection to Clase Azul México – from agave grown in the soil to the brand’s hand-crafted decanters.
In honouring this connection, the design team partnered with Marva Studio to create bespoke ceramic details that celebrate soil as the shared origin of both the spirit and the space.
Artworks and sculptures have been created exclusively for Casa de Los Leones by established and emerging artists, and have been integrated throughout the home ‘with discretion’, keeping local voices at the forefront.
One highlight includes a commissioned lounge installation by artist Beatriz Morales, whose abstract textile works are crafted from discarded agave fibres.
Preserving integrity
In addition, preserving the integrity of the original mansion was central to the restoration.
Original elements – including stained-glass windows and a chandelier in the lounge by artist Thierry Jeannot – were carefully recuperated.
In addition, throughout the property, stone staircases, polychrome mosaic floors, and wrought-iron details are balanced with contemporary design.

Additional works by artist Raul de la Cerda appear throughout the lounge, cocktail bar, and acervo, as well as the Blue Bar, which is reserved exclusively for private events.
“I am incredibly proud to be a part of this project,” said Andrea Cesarman, architect and co-founder of C Cúbica Arquitectos. “Casa de Los Leones is meant to empower Mexico, and throughout the space you can see how deeply Mexican heritage is woven into every detail.”
The house will offer a signature experience, Taste of Time, which is said to have been conceived with the same level of intention as the design itself.

Offered by appointment only, this experience provides small groups with a guided tasting of five Clase Azul Tequila expressions, each paired with a chef-crafted bite designed to enhance the sensory journey.
Experienced as a sequence of chapters, the tasting pays homage to the brand’s past, present, and future, while highlighting the essential role of time in Tequila.
The experience extends beyond the tasting to a guided exploration of the mansion and its gardens, concluding with a visit to the cocktail bar for sobremesa – the Latin American tradition of lingering at the table after a meal to converse, laugh, and relax with family or friends.
Casa de Los Leones also features an entire floor dedicated to Clase Azul México’s collector community, encompassing intimate spaces such as the library, library terrace, and private tasting room.
Conceived as a ‘sanctuary for gathering’, the private floor invites collectors to ‘linger over rare vault limited editions and unhurried conversation’.
Located at Luis G Urbina 104, Polanco, Mexico City, Casa de Los Leones will be open by appointment only.
