Chairman’s Reserve sends bartenders to Saint Lucia
By Lauren BowesThe winners of Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum’s Naughty & Spiced on-trade competition will receive an all-inclusive trip to Saint Lucia.

The rum brand launched the competition in collaboration with distributor Mangrove Global in late 2025, inviting bars across the country to put their own twists on its spiced expression.
From mid-November to the end of December, 48 venues took part, generating ‘strong’ engagement across sales and social channels.
The winner for sales performance was Tangerine Bar in Manchester, which opened in October 2025. The bar impressed judges with its ‘exceptional sales performance’ and ‘consistent commitment and confident use of Chairman’s Reserve Spiced’.
Meanwhile, 33 Cank Street in Leicester won the prize for social media engagement. Its campaign was described as ‘strategic’ and ‘high-quality’, with Christmas market-inspired visuals and ‘beautifully presented’ cocktails, such as a Naughty & Spiced luxury hot chocolate with toasted marshmallow meringue.
Both venues will win a trip for two people to Saint Lucia, including a visit to Saint Lucia Distillers, where Chairman’s Reserve Rum is produced.
Nick Gillett, managing director at Mangrove Global, added: “Chairman’s Reserve Spiced is a brilliantly versatile rum, and this campaign proved just how well it performs in the hands of great bartenders.
“Naughty & Spiced was about celebrating those relationships, shining a light on independent venues, and giving something back to the on-trade – with a bit of Saint Lucian sunshine as the ultimate reward.”
The judges also selected five runners-up: Desire Cocktail Bar in Stoke-on-Trent; The Raging Bull in Edinburgh; Tonne Bar in Leicester; Darby’s in London; and Pogo in Nottingham.
Ashera Goonewardene, brand manager for Chairman’s Reserve at Mangrove Global, said: “Naughty & Spiced was always about rewarding the bars that consistently show up for the brand and have fun doing it. It was also exciting to see how many new venues on the cocktail scene are getting involved, bringing fresh energy and ideas to the competition.
“The level of creativity, effort and engagement we saw across the UK was genuinely impressive. From beautiful winter serves to clever social storytelling, the winning venues – and our runners-up – really captured the spirit of the campaign.”
