Ukiyo to launch Japanese Nashi Pear Gin
By Miona MadsenKirker Greer Spirits is set to expand its Ukiyo range with Japanese Nashi Pear Gin, which will launch next month exclusively in Marks and Spencer (M&S) stores across the UK.

Ukiyo’s new gin is said to deliver a modern flavour profile inspired by Japan’s nashi pear. It is aimed to stand out in the premium gin category as a distinct fruit-forward option.
Co-created by M&S and Kirker Greer Spirits, the release showcases the combined expertise of both company’s and responds to increasing consumer interest in flavour-driven, Asian-inspired beverages, reinforcing Ukiyo’s reputation as an innovative Japanese craft gin.
Giota Polyzoudi, senior spirits buyer at M&S, said: “Ukiyo has genuine brand credentials that support a strong retail story and consumer trust.
“It was a pleasure working with the Kirker Greer Spirits team to develop this exclusive expression, which aligns perfectly with our purpose to bring the ‘magic of M&S’ to every customer through quality, innovation, and service across all channels.”
Bottled at 40% ABV, the gin features notes of juniper, yuzu, Nashi pear, and shiso leaf, accompanied by undertones of white pepper, orris root, and green tea.
The rest of the Ukiyo range includes rice vodka, classic dry gin, floral Blossom Gin, and Yuzu citrus gin. All are distilled in Chiba, east of Tokyo, Japan.

Working closely with M&S to create a bespoke expression not only deepens our partnership but also reinforces category differentiation and the premium positioning of the Ukiyo range.
“It offers shoppers a high-quality, exclusive option while supporting wider portfolio visibility.”
Ukiyo Japanese Nashi Pear Gin will be available exclusively at more than 300 M&S stores nationwide in the UK for in-store retail, as well as online through Ocado starting in February, with an RRP of £32 (US$44).
