TWE kicks off the year with three exclusives

Spirits retailer The Whisky Exchange (TWE) has released three exclusive bottlings for January, including a Torabhaig single malt matured in Scottish oak.

TWE exclusives January 2026
TWE exclusives this month include a Bourbon, a Scotch single malt, and a Jamaican rum

The Whisky Exchange January exclusive single cask bottlings are a 2018 Torabhaig Scotch single malt, an eight-year-old whiskey from the Bardstown Bourbon Co, and a 2023 Jamaican rum from the Hampden Estate.

Torabhaig 2018 Scottish Oak Single Cask is an experimental single malt from the Isle of Skye, which was finished for 16 months in Scottish oak casks.

Offered at 58.7% ABV, the whisky offers notes of apple, smoke, pine, black pepper, and dark chocolate.

Released under the distillery’s Signature Reserve banner, the expression is limited to 251 bottles and retails for £99.95 (US$135).

Bardstown Bourbon Co 8 Year Old Single Barrel, on the other hand, showcases notes of brown sugar, stewed fruit and a touch of spicy and herbal rye on the palate.

The Bourbon is made with a mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley, and bottled at 64.6% ABV. The single cask bottling is limited to 144 bottles, each priced at £125 (US$169).

Completing the trio, Hampden Estate HLCF 2023 Sherry Cask is a two-year-old single pot still rum aged in a cask from Sherry maker Bodegas Fundador.

On the palate, the rum offers notes of ‘classically Jamaican funky character’ with tropical fruits, sugarcane and dried fruit on the palate.

The Hampden Estate rum is offered at 64.6% ABV and limited to 764 bottles, with a retail price of £150 (US$203).

All three exclusive bottlings are now available from The Whisky Exchange online store and London retail outlets.

Last month, the retailer announced its 2026 spirits of the year and published data from its bottle-engraving service, showing how many people choose to convey their messages through alcohol on special occasions.
