Robb Report invests in Cygnet Gin
By Nicola CarruthersAmerican luxury lifestyle magazine Robb Report has purchased a minority stake in Welsh gin brand Cygnet.

Classical singer Katherine Jenkins OBE and professor Andrew Levitas founded Cygnet in 2022. It is produced at Penderyn’s Copperworks distillery in Swansea, Wales.
Former Campari Group CEO Matteo Fantacchiotti, who joined Cygnet as a partner and chairman in November 2024, described the deal as a “major milestone”.
He continued: “Robb Report’s investment represents a groundbreaking partnership as its unmatched reach and influence provide a powerful platform to enhance consumer engagement and establish Cygnet as a leader in luxury spirits.
“Additionally, in today’s spirits landscape, I believe this investment marks not only a major milestone for us at Cygnet but also a very positive event in the evolution of the luxury spirits industry as a whole.”
He says that Cygnet’s goal is to “redefine” the gin sector by “pioneering its ultra-premium and prestige segment white space while elevating the luxury spirits landscape”.
The brand’s portfolio includes the flagship Cygnet 22 gin (made with 22 botanicals), the Welsh whisky barrel-aged Cygnet 77 gin, the ‘accessible’ Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin (made with 12 botanicals), and alcohol-free Cygnet Infinity. The brand’s products use manuka honey as a key ingredient.
Luke Bahrenburg, CEO of Robb Report, added: “We are thrilled to introduce this exceptional gin to discerning consumers worldwide across our platforms.”
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Globally, gin’s volumes grew by 2% in 2024 (IWSR data), driven by value brands and emerging markets. Gin’s value rose by 3% in 2024 to approximately US$14 billion – 29% above 2019 levels.
