Virginia Distillery ups UK footprint with Maverick Drinks
American single malt whiskey producer Virginia Distillery Co has partnered with Maverick Drinks to expand its distribution in the UK.
Under the new agreement, Atom Group-owned Maverick Drinks will manage the distillery’s UK distribution and enhance visibility for both of its American single malt whiskey brands: Virginia Distillery Co, and Courage & Conviction.

A core range of products will be available immediately through the group’s e-commerce platform, Master of Malt, and its wholesale partner, Master of Malt Trade.
The partnership is said to mark a significant step in Virginia Distillery Co’s international growth, bringing its American single malt whiskeys to more consumers in one of the world’s most influential whisky markets.

The partnership with Maverick follows recent global expansion efforts, notably after the TTB ratified the American single malt category in January 2025.
With the formal recognition of the category, interest from both the trade and consumers has surged regarding its potential.
This year, Virginia Distillery Co has expanded its distribution to France, Poland, Ukraine and Taiwan in partnership with its export partner Charter Brands.
During the first half of 2025, the distillery increased its sales by 42%.
