Tayēr + Elementary spotlights Desi Daru in exclusive serve
By Miona MadsenLondon cocktail bar Tayēr + Elementary has unveiled a limited edition cocktail crafted in collaboration with British-Indian vodka brand Desi Daru.

Founded in 2019, Tayēr + Elementary is a dual-concept cocktail bar in Shoreditch that has consistently ranked among the top five bars in The World’s 50 Best Bars. The bar is also known for its line of canned ready-to-drink cocktails.
While Tayēr is a cocktail bar focused on fresh ingredients, crafting drinks that highlight the simplicity and distinctiveness of each ingredient while blending modern techniques with traditional practices, Elementary, on the other hand, is a contemporary neighbourhood bar that offers classic cocktails on tap, along with seasonal and modern ingredients. In addition to cocktails, it serves Highballs, beer, wine, coffee, and snacks.
The collaboration between the bar and the award-winning vodka brand has resulted in a Mango and Vetiver Highball, which will be available at Elementary for three months.
The cocktail combines Desi Daru Alphonso Mango Vodka – crafted from sun-ripened Alphonso mangoes from Ratnagiri – with Svitlo Vodka, Muyu Vetiver Gris, lime juice, and Tayēr soda water.
The Mango and Vetiver Highball is served from the tap with carbonation, then poured over crystal-clear ice into a Highball glass. This technique is said to ensure consistent effervescence with every serving.
Alex Kratena, founder of Tayēr + Elementary, explained: “The inspiration of the flavour profile comes from one of the most iconic mango pairings and is based around earthy, woody vetiver offset by luscious, juicy mango and green zesty citrus.
“Easy drinking and refreshing with undertones of sophisticated and precious oriental wood notes.”
Mohit Singh, co-founder of Desi Daru Vodka, said: “I’m incredibly proud to see Desi Daru featured on the menu of one of the world’s most respected bars. While there can be some preconceptions around flavoured vodkas, when a bar of this calibre chooses to showcase our liquid, it demonstrates how our mango vodka continues to make waves in premium spaces.
“We love to see how bartenders approach using our vodka, and this is the perfect refreshing serve, sumptuous yet elegant.”
The limited edition serve will be available exclusively at Elementary until March 2026 for £13 (US$17).
The collaboration with Tayēr + Elementary follows B Corp-certified Desi Daru’s activations at other London cocktail bars, including Sushisamba and Bibi.
Last month, the vodka brand made its supermarket debut at 140 Waitrose locations across the UK.
At this year’s Desi Daru Culture Colliders cocktail competition, Carlos Garcia Picon from Bar Antoine at the Four Seasons Park Lane in London was crowned the winner.
