Manchester’s Tarsier Southeast Asian Spirit has partnered with distributor Better Food Solution to launch its gins in Germany.

Better Food Solution will oversee the brand’s distribution in Germany

The announcement follows Tarsier’s official launch of its new brand identity at Bar Convent Berlin (BCB) in October.

Under the exclusive distribution agreement, Better Food Solution will oversee national distribution across both on-trade and off-trade channels, including premium retail, cocktail bars, restaurants, and specialised e-commerce partners.

Additionally, the distributor will look after brand-led tasting events and consumer activations to engage gin enthusiasts.

Markus Faist, owner of Better Food Solution, commented: “As an importer looking for trendy and unique high-quality products, Tarsier’s vision and craftsmanship align perfectly with our own values: authenticity, quality and a genuine story behind every bottle and taste.

“What distinguishes Tarsier Spirit’s gins and makes them an excellent addition to our portfolio? Unique Southeast Asian botanical profile far away from classical European juniper-based gin.”

According to Tarsier, it chose the new distribution partner for its strong leadership, effective team dynamics, and proven history of developing premium brands in Germany.

Sherwin Acebuche, co-founder of Tarsier Spirit, said: “German consumers have always been drawn to Asian flavours and Germany has long been on our roadmap, and we could not have chosen a better partner than Markus and his team at Better Food Solution.

“When we met at BCB this year, Markus and his team loved the brand and the liquids. They saw the opportunity of offering a fit to their portfolio of story-led, category-defining, and exotic brands. Their passion for high-quality, story-driven brands makes them the perfect home for Tarsier in a market that values authenticity and is thirsty for Southeast Asian flavours.”

Tarsier’s range, which is already available in 25 global markets, includes Southeast Asian Dry Gin, Calamansi Citrus Gin, Lychee & Raspberry Pink Gin, Chilli & Lemongrass Gin, and Yuzu Marmalade Vodka.

Tim Driver, Tarsier’s other co-founder, added: “We’re thrilled to bring the new look Tarsier to Germany. Each bottle tells the story of our travels through Southeast Asia, and Better Food Solution immediately understood the emotional and cultural significance behind the brand.

“They also understood our place within the category and knew straight away where Tarsier could win. We’re excited to grow Tarsier’s presence across the German market together.”

With increasing consumer interest in Southeast Asian flavours and cuisine, Tarsier’s spirits have attracted attention from companies such as The Ivy Collection, Rosa’s Thai, and Thai Leisure Group in the UK.

Tarsier Spirit donates 10% of its profits to charities that conserve the endangered Philippine Tarsier, one of the world’s smallest primates.
