Sachs has been serving as RNDC’s interim CEO and president since 17 October 2025, when the former interim CEO Robert Hendrickson died. He will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors.

Sachs brings more than 30 years of leadership experience and a deep understanding of RNDC’s business, relationships, and people.

Before joining RNDC, Sachs began his career in advertising, leading national campaigns for major consumer brands before transitioning into the beverage alcohol industry in 2005 with Block Distributing.

In his nearly two decades at RNDC, Sachs’ tenure has spanned sales, supplier development, and strategic initiatives, advancing through the company with positions such as vice-president of supplier business development, in which he strengthened supplier partnerships, shaped growth strategies, and drove commercial and operational excellence.

As CEO, Sachs will reinforce RNDC’s commitment to being a valuable partner to its associates, suppliers, and customers.

He will focus on strengthening commercial and operational performance, supporting and empowering RNDC’s markets and people, and guiding long-term strategic priorities across the company’s footprint, including a renewed emphasis on the customer experience and the capabilities that will drive RNDC’s future success.

“Following a comprehensive and thoughtful search process, we are thrilled to name Marc as CEO and president of RNDC,” said Richard Davis, board member, in a statement. “Marc is a trusted leader with deep knowledge of markets, our partners, and our people. We appreciate all of the work he has put in during his time as interim CEO. His decades of experience, strategic insight, and strong connection to the RNDC family make him uniquely positioned to guide the company forward. Marc will continue the legacy of leadership that has defined RNDC for generations while driving innovation and growth to strengthen our position in an evolving market.”

Sachs added: “RNDC is a company built on relationships, hard work, and shared purpose. It has been an honour to serve this team, and I am grateful for the trust placed in me by the Board and the RNDC family. Together, we will strengthen our partnerships, elevate execution, win with integrity and shape a future that reflects the very best of who we are.”

Sachs has taken the permanent position at the end of an eventful year for RNDC. In June, the distributor exited California, leaving many jobs at risk and the industry in limbo.

A month later, the company joined forces with alcohol e-commerce platform Provi to fulfil orders, marking the end of a lawsuit that began in 2022.
