Hennessy marks Champs-Élysées cocktail’s centenary
By Miona MadsenThis December, Hennessy Cognac will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Champs-Élysées cocktail by partnering with venues along the Parisian avenue.

The Champs-Élysées cocktail was created in 1925 at the height of the ‘roaring twenties’.
To celebrate the enduring legacy of the cocktail, Hennessy, described as the original Cognac for the serve, has created two contemporary cocktails to be offered alongside the classic at participating Parisian venues, in collaboration with the Champs-Élysées Committee.
The initiative invites guests to rediscover the cocktail, whether in Paris or at home.
The Cocktail Champs-Élysées 1925 by Hennessy honours the original recipe with 45ml of Hennessy VS, 15ml of Yellow Chartreuse, 20ml of fresh lemon juice, and a dash of Angostura bitters. The cocktail is finished with a lemon twist.
For the contemporary version, Cocktail Champs-Élysées 2.0, Hennessy has reimagined the classic with 40ml Hennessy VS, 10ml Yellow Chartreuse, 15ml apricot liqueur, 20ml verjus juice, and a dash of Peychaud’s bitters.
An alcohol-free version, Mocktail Champs-Élysées, is also available at the participating Parisian venues.
The Champs-Élysées Committee consists of 180 members, including economic and cultural stakeholders from the Arc de Triomphe to Place de la Concorde.
In 2025, the committee revived the Champs-Élysées cocktail in partnership with Hennessy.
Last month, the Cognac brand partnered with Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny on his Debí Tirar Más Fotos world tour and unveiled a collection of limited edition designs for the upcoming Year of the Horse celebration.
