Cobblestone Brands cans cold-brewed Irish Coffee

Created by Dublin-based Cobblestone Brands, Irished Up is billed as the ‘world’s first’ cold brew Irish Coffee in a can.

The cans come in a 200ml format with an ABV of 12.5%

The ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail is made from Colombian coffee beans, which have been roasted, cold-brewed, and slowly married with small-batch Irish single malt whiskey.

To achieve the cocktail’s creamy head, which appears when poured, Irished Up has been infused with nitro. It has 100 calories and is dairy- and gluten-free.

Irished Up sits at 12.5% ABV and has made its debut in Massachusetts, US.

Following a ‘highly encouraging sales performance’, Cobblestone Brands will expand its launch into more than a dozen US markets throughout 2026.

Donal O’Gallachoir, Cobblestone Brands’ head of commercial, US, said: “The response from the US market has been outstanding. Consumers immediately understood what Irished Up is: an elevated, modern Irish Coffee with all the craft, flavour, and character of the original – but in a format that fits how people drink today.

Though launched in the US, the RTD was showcased at trade shows this year to gauge international appeal

“We’ve seen strong velocity and genuine enthusiasm from both retailers and the on-trade.”

The RTD was also previewed at three international trade shows this year: TFWA in Cannes, Bar Convent Berlin, and Whisky Live Singapore.

Cobblestone Brands noted the launch coincides with the rise of coffee cocktails, while spirits-based RTDs are also thriving, especially in the US.

Additionally, the company highlighted Irish whiskey as one of the fastest-growing premium spirits categories.

Positioned as a modern, bar-quality Irish Coffee, Cobblestone Brands believes it represents a ‘strategic opportunity to build a new premium RTD platform centred on Ireland’s most famous cocktail’.

Cobblestone Brands CEO Brian Fagan added: “Irished Up gives us a product with real authenticity and a story that people instantly connect with. The spirits-based RTD category is premiumising quickly, and the market is hungry for credible innovation.

“With Irished Up, we’re bringing together craft coffee, real Irish single malt whiskey, and a modern, convenient format. We believe this category has enormous global potential, and this is just the beginning.”

Over the summer, Cobblestone Brands bought Irish whiskey brands Knappogue Castle and Clontarf from Pernod Ricard for an undisclosed sum.

“Despite near-term industry challenges, this is a time to invest in quality, authenticity, and long-term brand building,” Fagan said at the time of the acquisition.
