Chimera expands portfolio
By Miona MadsenUK-based distribution company Chimera Brand Development has welcomed Cargo Cult, Ouzo of Plomari Adolo, and Sūpāsawā to its portfolio.

Founded in May this year by two former Amber Beverage Group executives, Seymour Ferreira and Douglas Bratten, Chimera is a brand development company specialising in premium and super-premium adult beverages.
The company has doubled its portfolio by welcoming Cargo Cult rum, Greek spirit Ouzo of Plomari Adolo, and sour mixer Sūpāsawā.
The three brands join the company’s existing portfolio of La Gritona Tequila, Strucchi Vermouth, and Riviera Roc Aperitivo.
Ferreira commented: “This portfolio expansion underlines our ambition to build one of the most diverse and progressive collections of spirits and drinks brands in the UK market. Each partner brings a strong sense of provenance and relevance, enhancing our category coverage while maintaining our focus on quality and long-term value creation.”
Cargo Cult rums are produced in Australia by the independent Small Batch Spirits Company. The brand is inspired by the mythology of the South Pacific islands and offers three varieties: Navy Strength pot still rum, Banana Spiced Rum, and Dry Spiced Rum.
Ouzo of Plomari Adolo is a premium anise spirit from the town of Plomari on the island of Lesvos, Greece, created in 1894 by Isidoros Arvanitis. The spirit is produced using a traditional recipe that combines aniseed, fennel, and carefully selected herbs and spices.
Sūpāsawā, on the other hand, is a premium sour mix that promises to deliver consistent acidity and balance without the use of fresh citrus.
The three brands bring a wider range of categories, production styles and narratives to Chimera’s growing portfolio.
Each partner was selected for its unique credentials, craftsmanship and potential to grow in the UK.
