Catoctin Creek expands offerings in Virginia
By Miona MadsenSpirits producer Catoctin Creek will launch three products in its home state, exclusively at Virginia ABC stores, in February.

The new products include a heritage-inspired strawberry-and-pawpaw-flavoured gin and two spirits in larger formats.
Shenandoah Gin is said to be inspired by an old Appalachian recipe and features natural flavours of ripe strawberry and pawpaw. It stands out for its pink colour, which is derived from natural black carrot juice.
The flavoured gin is offered at 46% ABV and retails for US$36 for a 750ml bottle.
In addition, the brand will offer its Applejack and Roundstone Rye Whisky in new one-litre formats, both at 40% ABV.
The new bottles are priced at US$27 for Applejack and US$49 for the 100% rye whiskey.
Becky Harris, founder and master distiller of Catoctin Creek Distilling Company, said: “Virginia has always been our home, and Virginia ABC has played a key role in bringing our spirits to customers across the Commonwealth.
“We’re excited to introduce these new expressions and formats, especially the Shenandoah Gin, which celebrates regional flavours and Appalachian tradition.”
From February 2026, all three products will be available at select Virginia ABC locations statewide.
Earlier this year, The Spirits Business spoke with co-founder Scott Harris about the challenges facing craft distillers and their return to independence.
Last month, Catoctin Creek Distilling Company launched a private placement memorandum to raise US$5 million for expansion.
