Royal Salute concludes Kingdom Collection
Chivas Brothers’ blended whisky brand Royal Salute has unveiled the third and final release in its limited edition Kingdom Collection.
Drawing inspiration from the former Kingdom of Portugal, the final release in the series is a 26-year-old blended Scotch whisky, which has been finished in Colheita Port casks.
Previous releases in the collection include the 26-year-old Scottish Oak Cask Finish and 26-year-old Amarone Wine Cask Finish.
The final expression is the brand’s first whisky finished in Port wine casks and is said to stand as a testament to the country’s history, architecture, and culture.
The casks were selected from the Colheita winery in the Douro Valley. Created by Sandy Hyslop, Royal Salute master blender, the whisky balances dried fruit and nutty flavours from the casks, resulting in a sweet berry and spicy character.
Presented in a cobalt flagon, the Royal Salute 26 Year Old Colheita Port Cask Finish pays homage to Portugal’s azulejo facades, with hues depicting the rippling Douro River and the vast Atlantic Ocean.
The whisky presents aromas of stewed pears, summer berries, spiced orange, glazed cherries, red liquorice, fig jam, marzipan, cinnamon sweets, and nutmeg spice. On the palate, it displays notes of blueberries, orchard fruits, plums, toasted hazelnuts, orange peel zest, creamy toffee, ginger, and cardamom.

The Colheita Port Cask Finish will be available exclusively at global retailers from December 2025, with a recommended retail price of US$560.
Earlier this year, Royal Salute unveiled its latest Polo Edition, paying tribute to Rio de Janeiro.
