R&B Distillers takes majority stake in Feragaia

Scottish non-alcoholic ‘spirit’ producer Feragaia has received a majority investment from independent luxury goods group Chanrossa.

L-R: Bill Garnock, Alasdair Day, William Dobbie, and Jamie Wild

The investment sees the brand join R&B Distillers, the spirits and drinks business of Chanrossa, which also owns Scotch whisky producer Isle of Raasay Distillery.

Founded in 2019 by Jamie Wild and Bill Garnock, Feragaia became Scotland’s first working 0.0% ABV distillery in 2022, and achieved B Corp accreditation the same year.

Feragaia will now benefit from Chanrossa’s expertise in growing global brands with values rooted in Scottish provenance, quality, community and innovation.

Furthermore, the deal marks a significant step forward in Feragaia’s mission to ‘elevate no-and-low drinking experiences’.

Bill Garnock, co-founder of Feragaia, said: “According to IWSR, 82% of people who drink alcohol-free ‘spirits’ also enjoy alcoholic drinks, yet there’s still a perception that non-alcoholic options are only for non-drinkers.

“Feragaia was created to challenge that divide and prove that choosing not to drink alcohol doesn’t mean compromising on flavour or experience. Partnering with Chanrossa allows us to take that message further, scale sustainably, and share Scotland’s free spirit with a global audience.”

Feragaia joins Isle of Raasay in R&B Distillers’ portfolio

William Dobbie, managing director at R&B Distillers, added: “We are extremely excited to add Feragaia to our portfolio and continue towards our goal of creating Scotland’s leading new wave spirits and drinks business.

“Our brands are all about creating a more progressive and inclusive drinking experience across categories, while delivering supreme quality on every occasion. By adding Feragaia, whose values align perfectly with ours, we enhance our portfolio of likeminded brands and accelerate our bold, global growth plans.”

“We’re excited to work with Jamie and Bill to grow Feragaia’s footprint in the UK and beyond and strengthen Scotland’s reputation for innovation in spirits – both alcoholic and alcohol-free.”

Feregaia is a botanically-led ‘spirit’ crafted from 12 botanicals, five of which are grown at its own Fife botanical nursery.

While R&B Distillers has the controlling stake in the business, Feragaia’s co-founders remain as fully involved shareholders in the brand they founded. They will work alongside R&B Distillers to realise the overall and aligned objectives of the business.

Feragaia has built strong national distribution and a loyal following among premium on-trade and retail partners. It will continue to be distributed in the UK by Cask Liquid Marketing until 31 January 2026.
