The new partnership enhances the company’s global travel retail (GTR) operations, which cover the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Under the agreement with Nigab, Kirker Greer’s two brands – Ukiyo Japanese Spirits and Born Irish Whiskey – will be available across Calle and Fleggaard stores, as well as Scandlines Bordershops, with further growth opportunities in the pipeline.

Ryan McFarland, chief commercial and strategy officer at Drinksology Kirker Greer, said: “These listings represent an important step for Kirker Greer Spirits in global travel retail as we continue to deliver our three-year strategy.

“Nigab’s market expertise, operational excellence, and commitment to premium independent spirits make them the perfect partner for us. Together, we’re connecting their customers with on-trend flavours and categories through award-winning liquids, packaging, and brands. It’s something we’re extremely proud of, and we look forward to building on this momentum.”

The distribution deal aims to address the growing regional demand for premium products that emphasise authenticity and discovery.

Currently, a dedicated campaign for Ukiyo Gin is running until December across Scandlines Bordershops. This initiative is designed to enhance visibility and encourage Scandinavian consumers to try the product.

Fredrik Hjelm, brand and commercial manager of travel retail spirits at Nigab, added: “Partnering with Kirker Greer Spirits allows us to continue strengthening Nigab’s premium independent spirits offering while responding to clear market trends in premiumisation and discovery.

“Ukiyo and Born Irish are truly distinctive brands that stand out both in presentation and performance. We’re delighted to introduce them to our travel retail customers and look forward to seeing their continued success across the region.”

Kirker Greer Spirits’ GTR expansion is part of a larger strategy to enhance international distribution and visibility for its premium offerings, which include Ukiyo Japanese Spirits, Born Irish Whiskey, Jawbox Gin, and Kirker Irish Whiskeys.

Last month, Kirker Greer launched its first agave spirits brand, Del Suelo Mezcal, in partnership with Alí Rogelio Ramírez, Gregory Buda and Kevin Demers.
