Witchmark Distillery opens Gin School
By Lauren BowesEnglish distillery Witchmark has launched a Gin School experience at its site on the historic Fonthill Estate in Wiltshire.

The experience lasts for two hours and allows guests to create their own bespoke gin.
Once they’ve designed their own recipe, guests can distil the spirit using Witchmark’s copper still and take home a full-sized 700ml bottle.
Witchmark’s in-house gin expert will guide visitors through the heritage of the juniper-based spirit, the science of distillation and the botanicals that shape the brand’s signature flavours.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a gin and tonic or a cocktail during the session.
Jon Carson, Witchmark co-founder, said: “The Gin School is an invitation to come behind the scenes and experience what we love most about distilling.
“People will be able to experience the creativity and hands-on approach behind our award-winning range of spirits and leave with something that is uniquely theirs.”
Stills can be booked for individuals (£85 / US$112) or shared as a pair (£150 / US$197). The experience is available from Thursday to Sunday.
Earlier this month, the B Corp-certified distillery became the official spirits supplier of Bath Rugby.
The company is aiming to release its first whisky in 2027.
