Rémy Martin CEO steps down
By Georgie CollinsJean-Philippe Hecquet, CEO of Rémy Martin and its Louis XIII category, has left the company after four years at its helm, and will be succeeded by the brand’s executive director, Amaury Vinclet.

Hecquet has held the position of CEO at the Cognac brand since late 2021.
In a statement posted on LinkedIn, Hecquet shared: “After four intense and inspiring years leading the magnificent Maison Rémy Martin, the time has come for me to turn an important page.
“It has been an honour to contribute to the development of this iconic House, whose unique savoir-faire and shared commitment to excellence have defined every step of its journey.
“I want to express my deep gratitude to my teams for their passion and unwavering dedication, to the regional teams who never give up, to those within the Rémy Cointreau Group, and to our vineyard partners who embody, every day, the excellence of our terroir.
“In a few days, I will have the pleasure of starting a new, ambitious and stimulating chapter as president of Vivacy, a renowned French laboratory, internationally recognised for its expertise and innovations in natural beauty, longevity, and better ageing.”
A spokesperson for Rémy Cointreau confirmed to The Spirits Business that Hecquet left the company on 24 October, and is to be replaced by Rémy Martin global executive director, Amaury Vinclet.
“The group is pleased to reaffirm its confidence in Amaury Vinclet, who has been executive director of the Rémy Martin brand for five years. In addition to his current duties, he will have the responsibility for overseeing the supply chain, product development, estates, and wine-growing relations, as general manager of Rémy Martin.”
