ProChile brings pisco tasting to Manchester
By Miona MadsenTrade agency ProChile will host its first UK pisco tasting for the trade in Manchester at Cupra City Garage on Thursday 30 October.

The event invites bartenders, bar managers, buyers, and operators to discover Chile’s grape spirit alongside experts from ProChile and Capel pisco.
Taking place at Cupra City Garage on 30 October, the session will run from 1pm to 3pm, with limited spaces available.
Nicolás Poblete, the director of ProChile, commented: “Northern hospitality is renowned for its creativity behind the bar. Bringing Chilean pisco to Manchester and the north-west is the perfect way to connect our producers with one of the UK’s most exciting trade community.”
The session will be led by Poblete, alongside Fiona Walsh from Toll House Spirits, the UK distributor for the Capel and Alto del Carmen brands.
The duo will guide guests through a curated selection of Chilean pisco, including expressions that were previously available in the UK. The discussion will cover production methods, various styles, and serving suggestions tailored for the on-trade.
After the tasting, attendees will receive a complimentary frozen Pisco Sour, with additional Pisco cocktails available throughout the day at an industry price of £5 (US$7) at Cupra City Garage.
Walsh added: “From bright, aromatic styles to richer, aged expressions, Chilean pisco gives bartenders a versatile toolkit for classic and contemporary cocktails.”
Earlier this year, ProChile and Chilean pisco producers association, PiscoChile, invited UK drinks industry professionals to northern Chile to experience the country’s national spirit firsthand.
Last year, exports of Chilean pisco soared by nearly 120% in the UK, driven by new partnerships and broader distribution.
