Paradiso Sustainability Summit rebrands

Giacomo Giannotti has partnered with ItalSpirits by Giuseppe Gallo to transform the Paradiso Sustainability Summit into Barcelona Cocktail Fest, which will take place on 18-19 April 2026.

The rebrand widens the event’s scope to include more Barcelona bars

Formerly known as Paradiso Sustainability Summit, the event is now in its fifth year and will take place at Palo Alto in Poblenou.

It aims to ‘reshape trade shows globally, focusing on consumers and working alongside the best bars from around the world’.

The event’s rebrand indicates a step-change to open the doors wider to the city, with events, pop-ups and collaborations taking place across Barcelona in the week leading up to the two-day festival.

The theme for 2026 will be ‘FutureProof – Reimagining the Industry for What Comes Next.’

Programming will be curated by Giannotti, with panels shaped in collaboration with The Sustainable Restaurant Association.

“Barcelona Cocktail Fest is about building what comes next, together,” said Giannotti, founder of Barcelona’s Paradiso bar. “We’re keeping the craft and community spirit people love, and opening the experience to more voices from Barcelona and beyond, industry, locals, and families alike.”

The collaboration with ItalSpirits will give the event a larger footprint, with more participating cocktail bars and a programme designed to ‘feel as relevant to Barcelona as it is to the world’s leading venues’.

The two-day event will feature tasting counters for signature cocktails and a programme of expert-led masterclasses. Headline pop-ups include Oslo’s Himkok, Singapore’s Native and Cartagena’s Alquímico.

Panels will include a session titled ‘How bad are bananas?’, which will focus on cocktail emissions, as well as another called ‘Designing with scarcity’ and one based around the move from sustainable to regenerative practices.

Further conversations ask ‘Can AI taste?’, while wider topics will cover bar resilience and longevity as well as future trends.

Meanwhile, the event will benefit from dedicated networking spaces, live DJs and a fleet of food trucks.

ItalSpirits was previously a founding supporter of Roma Bar Show, but pulled out in 2024 “due to diverging views on the event’s direction and priorities”.
