La Petite Maison debuts Déjà Vu cocktail list
By Rupert HohwielerMayfair-based La Petite Maison (LPM) has dropped its latest cocktail menu called Déjà Vu, which appears in the form of a vintage magazine.

The menu is said to be styled on the golden age of the French Riviera between the 1950s and 1990s, with 10 new cocktails to choose from.
Each cocktail also has a non-alcoholic version, as part of LPM’s commitment to London’s growing health-conscious movement. The bar said that each no-and low serve is made with the same precision, ingredients and storytelling as its alcoholic form.
The drinks tell stories inspired by the culture of the south of France from that era, with serves supplemented with horoscopes and puzzles on pages presented like a glossy French magazine.
Cocktails take after iconic cultural moments such as Brigitte Bardot popularising the bikini at Cannes in 1953, the creation of the Hermès Birkin bag and British Formula One driver Graham Hill’s triumphs at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Highlights include the Birkin, which is described by LPM as ‘a twist on the Americano’ and is made with Charentais melon, Bacardi Cuatro Añejo, a blend of vermouth and light tonic water. The drink is named after the Hermès Birkin bag – introduced by English actress Jane Birkin – and presented with a custom French silk scarf.

Additionally, the Douliou Douliou is called a ‘playful take on the Piña Colada’ that’s served with a vintage walkman playing Douliou Douliou St Tropez.
The Soleil is then inspired by Fragonard’s Soleil fragrance, and brings together LPM x 44°N Gin, bergamot and mandarin. It is served in a bespoke soda bottle alongside a perfume sample.
Explaining the concept, Tibor Krascsenics, LPM’s global beverage director, said: “Déjà Vu is a seamless evolution from our previous Jean Cocteau ‘Recipes for our Friends’ menu, which celebrated the romance of the Belle Époque.
“With this new chapter, we transport guests to the cinematic glamour of the French Riviera, marrying world-class cocktails with editorial storytelling. It’s a celebration of culture, craftsmanship and joie de vivre, perfectly at home in Mayfair.”
LPM’s London site launched in 2007 and the group has nine other locations around the world, including Dubai, Miami and Hong Kong.
The Déjà Vu menu arrived at the Dubai branch earlier in the year.
LPM hopes the Déjà Vu menu can make its bar programme as iconic as its restaurant, and one of the ‘most exciting drinking destinations’ in London.
