‘First’ sparkling coconut water RTD cocktail launches
By Lauren BowesBeverage veteran Ingrid Smith has created Nirvana, a range of ready-to-drink (RTD), sparkling coconut water cocktails.

The brand’s flagship flavour is Chill, a sparkling vodka strawberry lemonade cocktail. Each cocktail comes in a 340ml can and sits at 5% ABV.
“Consumers today are evolving beyond the extremes of indulgence and abstinence,” explained Smith. “Nirvana was created for this new generation – people who value balance, authenticity, and experiences that feel as good as they taste.”
Smith’s CV includes stints at ‘world-class’ beverage companies and time spent living in Paris, Brazil, and China.
“Each market taught me that flavour is storytelling,” she added. “Whether you’re in Shanghai or Rio de Janeiro, great drinks create emotional connection. Nirvana was born to do exactly that – to invite the world into a modern, tropical state of mind.”
Nirvana’s design includes oceanic teals, soft metallics, and minimalist iconography, aiming to capture its philosophy of ‘mindful’ luxury. Its tagline, ‘Sip into Bliss’, reflects its aim of elevating the RTD category.
Nirvana is headquartered in Orlando, Florida, with US retail and on-trade expansion planned across key coastal and resort markets in 2025.
The spirits-based RTD category is worth US$2.7 billion in the US off-premise, almost three times its size in 2021.
Nirvana is not the only brand tapping into coconut water-based RTDs. In 2022, Captain Morgan owner Diageo collaborated with The Vita Coco Company to launch a range of canned cocktails made with rum and coconut water.
