Ana María Romero Mena leaves Mijenta for Casa Mexico

As maestro Tequilera, Romero Mena will oversee all aspects of Casa México’s production, from its agave selection to distillation and ageing.
Casa México’s range includes blanco, reposado, añejo and cristalino expresiones.
The brand has partnerships with Emmy award-winning host and entertainment presenter Mario Lopez and former professional boxer Oscar De La Hoya.
On bringing in Romero Mena, Lopez said: “I’m thrilled to be growing with Casa México. This partnership allows me to celebrate my heritage while sharing authentic experiences with the world. With the addition of the talented Ana María, it’s a perfect blend of my entertainment journey and meaningful cultural connections.”
Romero Mena has been in the Tequila business for more than 30 years. The brand said she is ‘globally recognised as both a guardian of Tequila tradition and an innovator shaping its future’.
She has been maestra Tequilera at Mijenta, founded by former Bacardi CEO Mike Dolan, since the brand’s inception.

Earlier this year, Lopez toasted the nominees at the 82nd Golden Globes with Casa México Tequila.
