Adriatico debuts alcohol-free amaretto
By Miona MadsenBellaventura-owned amaretto brand Adriatico has launched its first non-alcoholic expression and expanded into the UK market with Maison Ferrand.

Adriatico offers three expressions of amaretto: Roasted at 28% ABV, Bianco at 16% ABV, both retailing for £29.95 (US$40), and its new non-alcoholic Zero with an RRP of £23.65 (US$32).
Adriatico Zero is said to provide the same texture and almond flavour as traditional amaretto, but it contains less than 0.5% ABV and half the sugar. It is certified vegan and gluten-free.
Infused with roasted almonds, almond distillate, and a hint of Adriatic sea salt, Zero is intended to be enjoyed neat, in cocktails, or used in desserts like tiramisu.
The brand has partnered with the UK distribution arm of Maison Ferrand in the market. Maison Ferrand UK was established last year, following the company’s acquisition of distributor Identity Drinks.
The addition of Adriatico to the portfolio underscores Maison Ferrand’s commitment to the UK market, the company said.
Darryl Cripps, head of sales at Maison Ferrand UK, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Adriatico, an outstanding premium amaretto, to join our portfolio. The brand’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship aligns perfectly with our values, and we can’t wait for bartenders to discover its depth, character, and versatility behind the bar.”
Founded in 2019 by Jean-Robert Bellanger and Thomas Benoit, Bellaventura offers a range of Italian liqueurs from amaretto to limoncello.
Adriatico aims to redefine the amaretto category by exclusively using hand-picked Filippo Cea almonds sourced from Puglia, Italy. Claiming to have 50% less sugar than traditional amaretto liqueurs, each expression is designed to be enjoyed neat, as an apéritif, or in cocktails.
Bellanger and Benoit commented on the new partnership: “We are truly delighted to start a new distribution journey of our brands, Amaretto Adriatico and Limoncello Mamma Mia, in the UK with the Maison Ferrand UK team.
“The Maison Ferrand UK team shares a clear and field-driven vision, already working with top key accounts and an exceptional portfolio of brands. We are entering this new chapter for our premium Italian liqueur brands in the UK market with great confidence and enthusiasm.”
Last year, Adriatico partnered with Maison Ferrand’s Planteray brand to create a limited edition rum cask-aged amaretto.
