The Ryder Cup takes place from 23 to 28 September at the Bethpage Black golf course in New York. Elijah Craig’s ‘Road to Ryder Cup’ includes a special cask-finished release and exciting activations.

The Ryder Cup is a biennial golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States, with the two regions alternating which hosts the tournament.

Among members of this year’s Team Europe is Elijah Craig golf ambassador Bob MacIntyre, making his second consecutive Ryder Cup appearance.

Limited edition release

The ‘Road to Ryder Cup’ kicks off with the release of a limited edition Bourbon crafted to honour the competition’s return to New York through the use of applewood and sugar maple trees, the state’s official tree.

The whiskey starts as fully matured Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, before it is finished with staves made up of 75% toasted sugar maple and 25% toasted applewood.

The liquids are aged separately over an eight-week period, then vatted together before being bottled at 47% ABV. The 2025 Ryder Cup Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon leads with rich maple syrup on the nose, followed by decadent apple pie.

The palate brings notes of candy apples and caramel, evoking the forthcoming autumn season. The finish is soft and warm, dominated by chocolate and cocoa, with a final note of pepper at the end.

Each bottle comes with a natural cork-and-wood top, sealed and emblazoned in gold with the competition’s logo. It is then packaged in a commemorative Ryder Cup gift box.

“Elijah Craig is proud to once again be the Official Bourbon of the Ryder Cup, and we could think of no better way to honour this one-of-a-kind competition’s return to New York than with a Bourbon that The Empire State itself had a hand in inspiring,” says Max Stefka, associate vice-president of Elijah Craig Bourbon. “It’s the perfect way to ‘cheers’ the teams and all the thrills they’ll bring golf fans at Bethpage Black and around the world.”

Fan Fun

Elijah Craig’s ‘Road to Ryder Cup’ includes activations at Bethpage Black. Elijah Craig will engage fans with a series of retail and hospitality activations leading up to and during the tournament. On entering the grounds at Bethpage Black, attendees will discover a speakeasy-style lounge in the Fan Zone. The Elijah Craig Speakeasy will allow fans to savour signature cocktails while taking in the action.

Guests can order the tournament’s Official Bourbon Cocktail, The Mulligan, at bars around the course. Made with Elijah Craig Bourbon, iced tea, and lemonade, The Mulligan will be served with a flat-cut lemon-slice topper and a flagpin stuck in the middle to mimic a hole-in-one. The Mulligan is a light, refreshing cocktail that tastes as good on the green as it does at home.

MacIntyre for team Europe

Among members of the 2025 European Ryder Cup Team is Elijah Craig golf ambassador Bob MacIntyre, making his second consecutive Ryder Cup appearance. Scotsman Robert ‘Bob’ MacIntyre turned professional in 2017, and has consistently risen through the ranks to become one of the brightest talents in the game. His achievements include a 2023 appearance representing Team Europe in the Ryder Cup.

Stefka says: “A special cheers to Elijah Craig golf ambassador Bob MacIntyre on making his second consecutive Ryder Cup appearance. His dedication to excellence and embodiment of the spirit of Elijah Craig are on display every time he takes to the course.”

Along with MacIntyre, the iconic whiskey brand is also The Official Bourbon of the American PGA Tour golfer JT Poston and sports broadcaster Amanda Balionis. Elijah Craig is also the Official Bourbon of PGA of America. Follow Elijah Craig’s ‘Road to Ryder Cup’ and stay informed on the latest releases on Instagram @elijahcraig.
