Nashville Barrel Co plans Kentucky distillery
By Ted SimmonsSingle cask bottler Nashville Barrel Company will open the Louisville Barrel Whiskey Co, a new distillery and visitor centre, next year.

The Louisville Barrel Whiskey Co is slated to open in early 2026 at 717 E Market St, in the city’s NuLu neighbourhood. The new location will feature a tasting bar, bottle shop, and dedicated space for intimate distillery experiences.
“We are incredibly excited to bring our passion for hands-on, curated whiskey experiences to Louisville, the undisputed Bourbon capital of the world,” Michael Hinds, CEO and co-founder of Nashville Barrel Company, said.
“The NuLu neighbourhood is a vibrant hub for craft distilleries and is the ideal location to showcase our unique approach to whiskey fans looking for something truly special. We are thrilled to be part of such a dynamic community.”
Nashville Barrel Co was founded in 2018 and currently has distribution in 30 US states, and, with the addition of this Louisville distillery, three brick-and-mortar locations.
News of the expansion continues Louisville’s rapid development, with more tasting rooms and brand experiences opening up each year. Last month, Pursuit Spirits opened a two-floor visitor experience in downtown Louisville.
