IAADFS heads to Orlando for 2026 summit
By Miona MadsenThe 2026 Summit of the Americas, hosted by the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS), will take place from 28-31 March in Orlando, Florida.

After a couple of years in Miami, the four-day summit will return to Orlando, this time to the resort-style convention hotel, Rosen Shingle Creek.
The hotel is a short 15-minute drive from Orlando International Airport and is convenient located to the Orlando area’s attractions.
The Rosen Shingle Creek has been chosen as the venue for the 2026 summit after an extensive search that evaluated proposals from locations in Miami to Orlando.
It provides a range of exhibit spaces, conference facilities, sleeping accommodations, and amenities suitable for the summit.
One key factor in selecting Rosen Shingle Creek was its ability to address a significant concern raised in the post-summit surveys from 2025: the need for a more affordable venue. The official room rate will be US$239 per night, plus tax, which represents a substantial savings compared to the 2025 rates.
Rene Riedi, chairman of the IAADFS, said: “We are excited to be hosting the 2026 Summit of the Americas at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando. We are confident that this new facility and the city of Orlando will be a perfect home for our 2026 event, and we thank our attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors for their continued support.”
The 2026 date pattern will include the opening of the exhibit area and education sessions on Sunday, which differs from the traditional Monday start. The new schedule aims to ensure enough space to accommodate both exhibitors and attendees throughout the event.
The IAADFS team is actively working on an engaging programme that will deliver significant value to attendees, exhibitors and sponsors of the event.
The space request process for the 2026 Summit will begin shortly, with registration and room reservations set to open in late October or early November.
Attendees are encouraged to wait until the official block of rooms is available to take advantage of the negotiated rates.
In August, IAADFS announced the departure of its president and CEO, Michael Payne, after a nine-year tenure.
