William Grant & Sons-owned Glenfiddich and the Aston Martin Formula One team will host an immersive Grand Prix pop-up in Grand Central Station next week.

From 23-24 September, Aston Martin Formula One and Glenfiddich single malt Scotch whisky will bring the excitement of the Grand Prix to the heart of New York City with an immersive pop-up at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central.

The pop-up is in celebration of the release of the new Glenfiddich 16 Years Old, which marks the first anniversary of the partnership between the two brands.

Whisky connoisseurs and Formula One fans alike are invited to immerse themselves in the Glenfiddich experience, where they will have the opportunity to sample the limited edition Glenfiddich 16 Years Old neat or in signature cocktails.

The single malt was aged in a combination of American oak wine casks, new American barrels, and second-fill Bourbon casks, resulting in notes of maple syrup, caramelised ginger, fresh fruit salad, and sweet cream on the palate.

The experience will also allow guests to test their reflexes in a Formula One-inspired Batak challenge to see if they’ve got the instincts of a Grand Prix driver. They will also be able to view a full-scale Aston Martin Formula One replica car, which will be on display.

Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy complimentary Glenfiddich cocktails served from branded pop-up bars.

They can also personalise keepsakes at the bag customisation station, and take home ‘exclusive swag’. There will be additional samplings at the Grand Brasserie and Campbell restaurants, plus complimentary bottle engravings with purchases of the Glenfiddich 16 Years Old at Central Cellars.

The experience will run between 3pm and 8pm on both days, and admission is free for those aged 21 and above with a valid ID.

Glenfiddich Aston Martin Formula One 16 Years Old is now available globally, offered at 43% ABV with a suggested retail price of US$75.
