Potter-Jones assumed her role at the Cygnet team on 1 September, coinciding with the brand’s US debut.

She has joined Cygnet Gin after more than a decade at Diageo, where she led strategic marketing initiatives for luxury spirits, including Tanqueray No. Ten, Talisker whisky, and Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

Earlier in her career, she worked with a variety of independent premium spirits and lifestyle brands.

Potter-Jones commented: “This is an incredibly exciting moment to join Cygnet. Cygnet is a brand with bold spirit and undeniable luxury credentials. As someone proudly half Welsh, I feel a deep connection to what the brand stands for.

“I’m excited to help build a global icon, redefine modern luxury gin, and create category-shaping experiences for discerning consumers worldwide.”

Potter-Jones is said to bring extensive expertise in brand building, innovation, and global marketing into her new role as global marketing director of Cygnet, guiding the brand through the next phase of international growth.

Vedran Milosevic, global managing director at Cygnet, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Katie to the Cygnet family. Katie joins us at a truly dynamic stage of the Cygnet journey.

“With her experience, vision, and energy, she will play a pivotal role in driving our brand forward, particularly as we expand into the US and continue building our presence in key luxury markets around the world.”

Founded by classical singer Katherine Jenkins OBE and her husband, American social-impact filmmaker, artist, and New York University professor Andrew Levitas, Cygnet Gin first entered the UK market in September 2023.

The brand’s collection includes three gins – Welsh Dry Gin, Cygnet 22, and barrel-aged Cygnet 77 – as well as a ready-to-drink Gin & Tonic.
