Chris Crosbie becomes CEO of BR Distilling
By Melita KielyBlue Note Bourbon maker BR Distilling has promoted former Diageo exec Chris Crosbie to the role of CEO.

Crosbie joined BR Distilling in March 2024 as vice-president of sales, where he was tasked with growing sales of the company’s award-winning Bourbon across the US.
As CEO, Crosbie will guide the company’s strategy, drive growth initiatives and support ongoing innovation.
“Chris has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision during his tenure,” said Rob DelPriore, chairman of the board for BR Distilling. “His ability to build strong customer relationships, deliver consistent growth, and inspire teams across the organisation makes him the ideal leader to take Blue Note into its next chapter.”
Prior to joining BR Distilling, Crosbie worked as director of sales and trade marketing for east USA, Canada, LATAM, and duty free for Altos Planos Collective.
Before this, he spent 16 years at Diageo, progressing to the role of vice-president, commercial, where he led the spirits and beer portfolio across various markets.
“I am honoured to step into the role of CEO,” said Crosbie. “I look forward to working closely with our talented team, partners, and customers to build on our strong foundation and accelerate Blue Note’s growth in the years ahead.”
Blue Note Bourbon’s portfolio was created to honour the history of blues music in Memphis. Its liquid is distilled in partnership with Green River Distilling Company and matured just north of downtown Memphis.
Products in the brand’s stable include Uncut, Straight Rye Whiskey, and Single Barrel Rye, which retail between US£35 and US$50.
In other recent people news, earlier this week Bacardi revealed several internal moves across its people and supply chain teams.
