BCB unveils show topics
By Lauren BowesThis year, the Bar Convent Berlin (BCB) Embassy – a platform that combines education, bar culture, and brand experiences – will spotlight three key trends: Low & No, Classics, and Next Generation.

Held between 6 and 8 October at Messe Berlin, BCB is considered the ‘ultimate meeting point’ for the global bar and beverage industry.
On the first day of the show, the BCB Embassy will focus on Low & No, addressing the growing demand for reduced-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks. Visitors will discover cocktail recipes and new product categories.
To bring the theme to life, expert Camille Vidal will host presentations and exclusive tastings to highlight the potential of alcohol-free enjoyment.
This will be followed by the Classics theme on day two, which is inspired by timeless serves. Experts will walk visitors through the history of iconic drinks, while others will reinterpret traditional recipes and explain the techniques that define an exceptional classic.
The final day of the show will focus on the Next Generation, highlighting emerging talent, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative business ideas.
This theme is closely linked to BCB’s ‘Working Wednesday’ format, facilitating connections between up-and-coming professionals and established industry icons.
The BCB Embassy will also benefit from a collaboration with the team behind Botanical by Alfonse. Each day, they will serve up cocktails reflecting each theme.
Earlier this month, we spoke to BCB’s director, Petra Lassahn, about what to expect from this year’s event.
