Steenholt, also a member of Anora Group’s audit committee, departed to join the executive committee of Carlsberg Group as executive vice-president for integrated supply chain.

He will assume the role at Carlsberg on 1 November 2025.

Michael Holm Johansen, chairperson of Anora’s board of directors, said: “On behalf of the board and the executive management team of Anora, I want to thank Torsten Steenholt for his valuable contribution in the development of the company since 2017, especially in the areas of reporting and sustainability matters.”

Even with Steenholt’s resignation, the composition of Anora’s board of directors remains in accordance with the Articles of Association.

Anora’s shareholders’ nomination board will present its proposals regarding the board’s composition at the next annual general meeting.

The Nordic wine and spirits company’s portfolio includes brands such as Koskenkorva and Aalborg Akvavit, with distribution to almost 30 global markets.

In 2024, Anora reported €692 million (US$808.6 million) in net sales, and the company employs around 1,200 professionals.

In the first half of 2025, the company posted a 5.3% drop in sales.
