Redbreast highlights ‘unhidden gems’ in Toronto
By Miona MadsenIrish Distillers-owned brand Redbreast has signed a two-year contract with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as its official whiskey partner.

Continuing the brand’s mission to uncover cinematic hidden gems, ‘Redbreast Unhidden’ seeks to highlight emerging talent in film at TIFF 2025 and 2026.
The two-year collaboration builds on the Redbreast’s partnership with Bafta-winning actor Andrew Scott at the SXSW Film & TV Festival, part of the brand’s global ‘Quite the Find’ campaign.
Nodjame Fouad, CEO of Irish Distillers, said: “As the world’s most awarded single pot still Irish whiskey, Redbreast is built on a legacy of unparalleled craftsmanship and complexity. It is this dedication to character and quality that we champion through our creative partnerships.
“After the fantastic launch of ‘Redbreast Unhidden’ with our brand ambassador Andrew Scott at SXSW 2025, we are delighted to be bringing the platform to TIFF. Together, we will continue to explore the rich narratives and authentic craft that define both exceptional filmmaking and extraordinary Irish whiskey.”
The partnership with TIFF is said to highlight Redbreast’s dedication to supporting emerging talent and authentic voices in film, which will manifest through the ‘Redbreast Unhidden Gems’ selection; a curated list of seven to 10 films created in collaboration with TIFF’s programming team.
The goal of the initiative is to showcase ‘cinematic masterpieces that might otherwise remain undiscovered’.
From 4-14 September 2025, TIFF will collaborate with the Irish whiskey brand to host a series of high-profile events aimed at engaging filmmakers, industry leaders, and festival-goers.
The 2025 activation includes a cocktail reception at the Red Carpet Suite in Roy Thomson Hall, Redbreast taking centre stage at the TIFF Opening Night Party, and fan and tasting experiences.
Before the festival, consumers can explore Redbreast at select Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) locations through special in-store tastings.
