Peddlers’ complete range will be available for the first time in Mongolia, including its Salted Plum and Rare Eastern Shanghai gins.

Fergus Woodward, CEO of Peddlers Gin, said: “We are very happy to partner with BetaStar and its world-class team. Mongolia is a rapidly growing market with passionate consumers and bars.”

As part of the launch, Peddlers partnered with local DJs and creators, Tako Vintage. The brand also teamed up with Root Down, one of Shanghai’s top bars, for takeovers at two venues in Ulaanbaatar, Four Senses on 30 July and Sip on 29 July.

Woodward and Rio Liu launched Peddlers Gin in 2016, first producing spirits in a garage.

The brand’s flagship gin is crafted using a selection of ingredients sourced from various regions in China, including Sichuan pepper and Buddha’s hand fruit.

‘Shanghai’s first craft gin’ is currently available in more than 20 countries, including the UK through Amber Beverage.

Last month, Peddlers opened entries for its first Passage cocktail competition for bartenders in Canada.
