The brand attempted and achieved the Guinness World Record feat over the week of 1-2 August at festival Reggae Land, which was held at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes.

The 1,000-litre Punch bowl (or 1,025.189 litres to be precise) was able to serve more than 5,000 festival-goers.

The recipe included: 332 bottles of Duppy White Rum; 750l Tropical Vibes Fruit Punch; 21l sugar syrup; 4l Seasn Bitters; and 800 squeezed limes.

George Frost, founder at Duppy Share, said: “We’ve always believed rum Punch is the ultimate sharing serve – and what better way to bring people together than with the biggest bowl of rum Punch the world has ever seen?

“To break a world record in partnership with Reggae Land feels like a true celebration of the culture, spirit and joy of rum.”

Reggae Land, which celebrates Caribbean culture with food, music and rum, welcomed around 50,000 attendees on each of its days – with more than 5,000 rum Punches sold from Duppy Share and Old Jamaica’s Rum Bar.

The new Guinness World Record for ‘largest alcoholic Punch’ will be shared between the festival and Duppy Share.

Reggae Land’s festival director, Brian Murphy, added: “Reggae Land is all about celebrating Caribbean culture and this world record with Duppy Share added something truly special to this year’s event.

“Thousands of our guests got to taste history – and they loved every drop!”

Additionally, 4,000 bottles of Duppy Share rum were sold at other bars at the festival.

The brand said the moment cements its place at the heart of UK rum culture.

While not featured in the record-breaking Punch bowl, Duppy Share has also partnered with ginger beer brand Old Jamaica across 21 festivals and events in the UK this summer.

Duppy Share created a ready-to-drink product with Old Jamaica in March last year, which was a Jamaican Mule described as ‘the Caribbean in a can’.
