Tarsier Gin unveils jungle-inspired new design

Manchester-based Tarsier Gin has revealed a new, more sustainable bottle design inspired by the jungles of Southeast Asia.

With the refreshed branding, Tarsier has also relaunched its core range with new expressions

The launch of the brand refresh is said to mark the next chapter in the brand’s evolution.

Made from custom black glass in Leeds by Verallia, the new bottle is made of 58% post-consumer recycled glass and features etchings inspired by the textures of bamboo, bark, ferns, and jungle foliage.

The design reflects the natural habitat of the tarsier – the primate the brand is named after – depicting a nocturnal jungle filled with life.

The new bottle is designed to minimise the distillery’s impact on the environment.

The change in glass supplier has led to a 99.8% reduction in transport CO2 emissions, aided by Verallia’s proximity to the distillery, and a 20% reduction in production CO2 emissions.

Tim Driver, co-founder of Tarsier, said: “This new look captures everything we stand for – exploration, depth, and a spirit of wild discovery. We’ve always been inspired by our travels across Southeast Asia and our visit to see the tarsier primates in Bohol, and now the bottle itself tells that story.”

The redesign coincides with the relaunch of Tarsier’s core range of spirits. This includes a new recipe for its flagship Southeast Asian Dry Gin, a renamed Lychee & Raspberry Pink Gin, and the return of Yuzu Marmalade Vodka.

Additionally, the range features a renamed Chilli & Lemongrass Gin and a new Calamansi Citrus Gin.

Sherwin Acebuche, co-founder of Tarsier, explained: “Demand for authentic Asian flavours is accelerating in both the on-trade and off-trade as consumers value better drinking experiences.

“With our new look packaging that is as bold, unique and distinctive as our liquids, we are in a prime position to deliver an authentic and beautiful Asian experience for those who seek it.”

Tarsier remains dedicated to sustainability and conservation by donating 10% of its profits to projects that protect the endangered Philippine nocturnal primate.

The brand has partnered with several venues in the UK, including The Ivy Collection, Rosa’s Thai, Thai Leisure Group, Hall and Woodhouse, Albert’s Schloss, and Fuller’s, to introduce a touch of Asia to their drinks menus.

Tarsier is exported to 24 countries across five continents and is featured in establishments such as Raffles Hotel Singapore, Marina Bay Sands Singapore, Atlas Bar Singapore, Nobu New York, and Okura Manila.
