Pisco takes the stage at Cocktails in the City
Trade agency ProChile and London-based restaurant Mareida will partner to promote Chilean pisco and cultural identity at this year’s Cocktails in the City festival.

The on-trade festival will return for its 10th year over two weekends – 10-12 July and 7-9 August.
Mareida is a newly opened Chilean-Andean fine dining restaurant in Fitzrovia, London. Its bar offers more than 30 premium Chilean wines and a cocktail menu based around Chilean pisco and native ingredients.
Mareida’s founder Prenay Agarwa said: “With Mareida, we wanted to create a space that captures the richness and complexity of Chilean identity – from the altitude of the Andes to the depths of the Pacific. This collaboration with ProChile at Cocktails in the City is an exciting opportunity to introduce London to pisco in a bold, elegant way – just like the food we serve.”
For the first weekend of the festival, Mareida and ProChile will offer three signature pisco cocktails.
Fraser Stancombe and the bar team from The Pours have created the recipes, which feature three Chilean piscos.
The first of the three, Alto del Carmen, will enter the UK this summer through a partnership with Toll House Spirits.
The other two piscos are El Gobernador, which is distributed by Cask Liquid Marketing, and Waqar, which is distributed by Sauce Brands.
Around 3,000 guests are expected to attend Cocktails in the City.
According to ProChile, in 2024, Chilean pisco exports grew by more than 30% globally. The spirit is surging in the UK in particular, with sales growing by more than 100%.
Nicolás Poblete, ProChile’s director in the UK, added: “This joint activation with Mareida is part of ProChile’s broader strategy to promote pisco and elevate Chile’s presence in the UK market. Mareida is a significant milestone for Chile – a unique opportunity to showcase the richness of our culture, cuisine and creative talent on an international stage.”
