Pernod Ricard’s Scotch whisky arm, Chivas Brothers, is offering a range of visitor experiences at its four distilleries across Scotland this summer.

Chivas Brothers’ summer distillery experiences are available until 31 October

Chivas Brothers is the owner of the Island distillery Scapa, Aberlour Distillery in the Highlands, and two Speyside distilleries, The Glenlivet and Strathisla.

This summer, the company is offering a range of immersive experiences at each of its distilleries.

Beyond tours and tastings, each distillery offers a range of limited-edition, distillery-exclusive bottlings, spanning expressions aged 11 to 26 years.

Jacques-Henri Brive, head of luxury at Chivas Brothers, commented: “This summer presents a fantastic opportunity to truly connect with the world of Scotch whisky across our renowned Chivas Brothers’ visitor centres.

“These new experiences have been created to offer a deeper appreciation of the craft that spans generations. Whether exploring the maturation process at Strathisla or sampling the new food pairings at Scapa against the dramatic Orkney coastline, each visit promises unforgettable moments.”

Chivas Brothers distilleries’ visitor centres are open seven days a week from May to September, 10am-5pm.

The summer experiences are available until 31 October 2025 and range from £20 (US$27) to £1,200 (US$1,640), ensuring options for whisky enthusiasts to choose from.

What’s on offer?

At Strathisla, Chivas Brothers invites guests to participate in a new ‘Strathisla Maturation Experience’, which highlights the role of maturation in developing the character of Scotch whisky.

Additional experiences include the ‘Chivas Blending Workshop’, an interactive session where guests can discover the art of creating ‘a perfectly balanced blend’.

Another experience, ‘The Vault by Chivas Brothers’, includes an exclusive tasting featuring some of the rarest expressions from the Chivas Brothers portfolio. The bespoke session is reserved solely for those with a confirmed booking.

The Glenlivet, on the other hand, is offering several unique experiences, including ‘The Visionary’ option, which provides rare access to the still house. Additionally, there is ‘The Original,’ an introduction to the distillery’s signature range, and ‘The Generations,’ an exclusive tasting that celebrates more than 200 years of whisky making.

At Aberlour, visitors can immerse themselves in a range of tasting experiences. This season introduces the ‘Express Flight,’ which is recommended for those looking for a brief introduction to Aberlour’s single malts. It includes new make spirit and three expressions, including exclusive distillery releases.

Additionally, the ‘Awakened’ experience offers a rare chance to sample some of the oldest Aberlour whiskies ever released.

Lastly, on the island of Scapa, visitors are welcomed to experience the influence of the coastal location on whisky.

Some standout experiences at the Scapa Distillery include ‘The Pairing Experience,’ which offers a guided tour through the distillery and warehouse. The tour culminates in a curated tasting session in the waterfront Scapa Noust tasting room, where guests can enjoy four distinctive drams paired with Orcadian cuisine infused with Japanese flavours.

Visitors can also opt for the ‘Scapa Discovery Flight,’ showcasing the distillery’s latest core expressions, or embark on the ‘Classic Tour,’ which highlights Scapa’s rich island heritage.
