Seamless sophistication: Casa Malka at Nobu
By Melita KielyCasa Malka Tequila was chosen to be the spirit behind Nobu NYC’s May Cocktail of the Month.

Casa Malka Tequila was recently selected as the featured spirit in Nobu NYC’s Cocktail of the Month programme in Nobu Fifty Seven and Nobu Downtown, uniting two brands that share a philosophy of refined simplicity, cultural relevance, and intentional design.
Throughout May, guests at the world-renowned Japanese-Peruvian restaurant were able to enjoy the Apricot Hikari, a cocktail that highlights Casa Malka Blanco – a highland Tequila crafted for purity, balance, and subtle complexity. The drink is elegant, clean and expressive, embodying Nobu’s culinary approach: minimal ingredients, maximum impact. The collaboration is a natural fit.
Casa Malka, co-founded by Jayson Winer and Malka Roth, was built on the same principles that define Nobu’s global identity: a deep respect for quality, a commitment to storytelling, and a timeless aesthetic.
With a bottle shaped like a modern relic – ridged, sculptural, and paired with bold minimalist branding, Casa Malka has quickly resonated with trend-forward venues and tastemakers alike – offering a Tequila that feels at home in spaces designed with intention.
“Nobu represents everything Casa Malka aspires to be,” Roth tells The Spirits Business. “It’s elegant, thoughtful, and culturally influential. Being featured in its bar programme is an incredible honour.”
Casa Malka Blanco is made with 100% Blue Weber agave, naturally fermented to preserve the delicate character of the agave. The resulting spirit is citrus-forward with soft minerality and a whisper of white pepper – designed to shine whether it is sipped neat or mixed into refined cocktails.
The shared values between the two brands go beyond aesthetics; they reflect a mindset that honours intention over excess. Nobu and Casa Malka represent a shift away from loud luxury toward a more nuanced form of sophistication, where quality, design, and cultural alignment come together seamlessly.
High profile
Casa Malka has earned placements at a growing list of high-profile accounts, including Doma, Central Park Club, Kissaki, and a slate of curated brand moments in fashion, LPGA events, and music festivals in both New York and Miami. These partnerships are about creating moments where product and place harmonise.
This follows a major milestone for the brand: three Golds at the inaugural Agavos Awards – a blind tasting judged by leading agave experts. With wins in the Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo categories, Casa Malka shows that beautiful design means little without exceptional spirits – and in both, it’s raising the bar. As two brands that lead with restraint, craft, and cultural relevance, the Casa Malka x Nobu collaboration feels less like a traditional placement, and more like a shared philosophy brought to life in the glass.
