ProWein, whose flagship event takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany, each March, returns to sponsor the award, which was bestowed upon House of Tequila’s master distiller, Jesús Hernández, last year.

Nicole Funke, senior project manager ProWein/ProSpirits, Messe Düsseldorf, said: “Supporting the Lifetime Achievement Award at The Spirits Business Awards is a true honour, and it perfectly reflects ProWein’s mission to celebrate excellence and inspire the future of the global spirits industry.

“Our partnership with The Spirits Business is rooted in a shared commitment to education, innovation and progress – and together, we proudly recognise the individuals driving the industry forward.

“Last year’s ceremony was a memorable celebration of passion and excellence. The 2024 recipient, Jesús Hernández, set a powerful example with his unwavering dedication to quality and innovation in Tequila. We are delighted to once again join forces with The Spirits Business to honour those shaping the spirits world with vision, integrity and lasting impact.”

Founded in 2019, The Spirits Business Awards aims to celebrate the people and brands spearheading the industry.

Awards categories span five key areas of the global drinks industry: Retail & Marketing, Sustainability & Innovation, Culture & Tourism, Product & Brand, and People.

The deadline to enter this year’s awards is 27 June.
