London bar hosts Wes Anderson pop-up
By Lauren BowesBob Bob Ricard in London’s Soho has revealed a limited edition menu and takeover to coincide with the release of The Phoenician Scheme, the new film by Wes Anderson.

The film debuts on 23 May, with the takeover beginning the same day and lasting til 22 June.
Bob Bob Ricard’s Red Room will be transformed into Marseille Bob’s, the bar featured in the film. The transformation will include a series of Anderson-themed design details, inspired by the film’s sets and characters, such as pink-framed placemats, custom coasters, and a bespoke menu featuring graphics from the film’s creative team.

The Marseille Bob logo will be presented as a neon sign above the bar as well as above the stairs leading to the Red Room.
Staff will costume up in white blazers, red carnations, and fez hats, echoing the costumes worn by characters in the film.
The menu will feature four cocktails that reference the film. The Virgin Novitiate is a Champagne cocktail made with Hennessy VS Cognac and a Maraschino cherry, while the Tycoon on the Rocks is a colour-changing Margarita served in a pipette.
The Handgrenade is a white Negroni that nods to a line in the film: “Would you like a hand grenade?”. Meanwhile, The Norwegian Tutor is a non-alcoholic serve made with Thomson & Scott non-alcoholic ‘wine’, Tanqueray 0.0% and a Maraschino cherry.
Bar snacks will include giant salted pretzels and tins of smoked Cantabrian anchovies with butter and brown bread.
