Hayman’s targets Martini fans

London-based Hayman’s has created a video that shows consumers and bars how to make a pre-batched Freezer Martini using its gin.

The family-owned gin producer is aiming to showcase the ease, convenience and accessibility of making a bottled Martini straight from the freezer.

The short video, which can be viewed on YouTube, is targeted at both the on-trade and Martini-loving consumers at home.

James Hayman, co-owner and fifth-generation family member of Hayman’s, said: “As pioneers of London gin – and the last family of gin distillers still making the original style of London Dry – it makes perfect sense that the Martini, which was initially developed using the original style of London Dry gin, should be made with our gin.

“The Freezer Martini is simply an evolution for today’s cocktail world.”

To make the Freezer Martini, simply pour 500ml of Hayman’s London Dry gin into a mixing glass with 162.5ml of dry vermouth and 62.5ml filtered water. Stir the ingredients together, then pour it back into the empty Hayman’s bottle and leave it in a freezer for a minimum of three hours.

Serve the desired amount into a Martini glass with a lemon twist or olive.

Last year, Hayman’s sister brand, Respirited, unveiled its first out-of-home advertising campaign, called This Vodka is Rubbish.

Here are 10 activations to mark World Martini Day today (19 June).
