Franklin & Sons extends US distribution
By Nicola CarruthersUK-based mixer brand Franklin & Sons has partnered with Empire Distributors to expand its presence across the US.

The deal will bring the tonic and mixer maker to four additional US states: Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia and Colorado.
Founded in 1886, Franklin & Sons joined the Global Brands portfolio in 2015.
UK-based Global Brands was established in 1997 and produces brands such as VK, Hooch and Shake Baby Shake.
Keith Beattie, international sales director at Global Brands, said: “It’s our ambition to expand our international distribution for Franklin & Sons, bringing the brand to more homes and bars across the US, and our partnership with Empire Distributors marks a significant step forward for our global expansion as we look to establish ourselves in the US market.
“What started as a man with a vision when Steve Perez founded Global Brands has developed into global production and distribution of award-winning drinks.
“As two family-run businesses, it’s fantastic for Global Brands to be partnering with Empire Distributors to increase the distribution of Franklin & Sons stateside.”
Franklin & Sons will offer several flavours in four packs in the US, including Original Ginger Ale, Brewed Ginger Beer, Sparkling Guava & Lime, Sparkling Pineapple & Almond, Sparkling Pink Grapefruit, Premium Indian Tonic, and Club Soda.
There are also plans to bring additional variants to the US.
Citing data from Grand View Research, the company noted that the US premium mixer market is projected to post a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.3% from 2021 to 2028.
Gary Wolfe, chief operating officer of Empire Distributors, added: “We recognise the growing demand in the non-alcoholic beverage category and are confident that Franklin & Sons’ premium product line will resonate with both our customers and consumers in the US.”
Earlier this month, the tonic and mixer producer teamed up with gin maker Masons of Yorkshire to launch a ready-to-drink range.
