Ed Sheeran creates cocktail for charity
By Georgie CollinsGrammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has partnered with Dover Yard at 1 Hotel Mayfair, London, to craft a cocktail using his Tingly Ted’s hot sauce.

The cocktail, called Tingly Jam, was created as a ‘heartfelt tribute’ to Sheeran’s close friend, DJ and music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards, who died in 2022.
Driven by a desire to honour Edwards’ memory and raise funds for the charity set up in his name, the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust, Sheeran created the cocktail with Dover Yard as a playful twist on the classic combination of hot sauce and fried chicken, one of Edwards’ favourites.
The serve features butter-fat-washed Casamigos Tequila infused with a spicy Tingly Ted’s tincture. It is presented alongside a miniature bottle of the sauce, designed to be paired with Dover Yard’s signature crispy fried chicken, with 10% of proceeds from sales of each donated directly to the Trust.
This special cocktail is part of a wider partnership with 1 Hotel Mayfair, which will culminate in a ‘star-studded celebration’ in September. The event will bring together global music talent, VIPs, and fans to honour Edwards’ life, legacy, and contribution to the industry.
The cocktail will remain a permanent fixture on the bar’s new Regenerative Forces menu, which launches on 30 June.
The new serves have been inspired by the four natural elements – fire, earth, air, and water –and were curated by director of bars Giulio Guarini.
The menu offers a ‘bold reimagining’ of classic cocktails through the lens of the elements. Representing water is the Lost in Translation – a Bramble reinvented with sake, coconut and strawberry – while air is depicted via Cloud Control, a ‘fluffy’ Paloma that features jalapeño, blackcurrant, and tomato.
An Old Fashioned called Barley & Spore, which has been infused with mushrooms and mead, represents earth, while Tingly Jam is a Spicy Margarita ode to the element of fire.
