Just in time for sun-soaked days and unforgettable nights, premium mixer brand Thomas Henry has revealed its latest limited edition innovation: Vivid Watermelon.

With a portfolio spanning 11 varieties across tonic waters, spicy classics, and fruit-forward lemonades, Thomas Henry – the brand developed by bartenders for bartenders – is synonymous with modern bar culture and premium quality. Now, to mark its 15th anniversary, the Berlin-based mixer brand is bringing a bold, fresh flavour to market that aims to redefine summer sipping. Vivid Watermelon is a first-of-its- kind watermelon-flavoured premium mixer that was rolled out across 15 key markets in mid-April, and is currently available exclusively in the brand’s signature 200ml premium glass bottles.

The ‘post-tonic’ era

As the mixer landscape continues to evolve, Thomas Henry is leading the way into the ‘post-tonic’ era with more adventurous flavour profiles and creative serves. Vivid Watermelon offers a lightly sweet, refreshingly juicy profile, enhanced by hints of pomegranate and citrus for a well-rounded taste. It boasts 9.3% real fruit juice and is crafted with all-natural ingredients, making it a high-quality option for bartenders and consumers alike.

“We wanted to tap into a globally beloved flavour and offer bartenders something truly versatile,” says Marco Frizzarin, senior international brand manager at Thomas Henry. “Our goal was to make mixology easier and more exciting with a flavour that doesn’t overcomplicate recipes, but rather enhances them.”

One of the most exciting aspects of Vivid Watermelon is its versatility. It can be served as part of a vibrant Highball, a refreshing Spritz, or simply over ice, thanks to its ability to adapt effortlessly to various occasions and palates. Furthermore, with the rising popularity of low- and no-ABV cocktails paired with the arrival of daytime drinking driven by warmer weather, it’s the perfect companion for modern cocktail menus and relaxed summer settings.

To showcase the expression’s potential, Thomas Henry has crafted the Watermelon Highball – the mixer’s signature serve – which combines a clean, vibrant blend of vodka with a splash of lime juice, that is then topped with Vivid Watermelon, resulting in a simple yet sophisticated take on the classic long drink.

Beyond this signature serve, the brand has also created the Melon Spritz, a sweet and fruity expression of Prosecco and Vivid Watermelon, as well as the non-alcoholic Melon Breeze, which combines Vivid Watermelon with fresh lime juice in a wine glass over ice. For a low-ABV cocktail, Campari is mixed with Vivid Watermelon to create the Italian Melon, which is built tall in a glass with a lemon zest garnish for a fruity and bitter serve.

Thomas Henry is backing this limited edition launch with full force by curating a series of events, influencer-led social media campaigns, and bar activations, which are planned to roll out across major cities in the Nordics, Baltics, Benelux, Spain, Greece, the Balkans, and Central Eastern Europe. Participating venues will receive bespoke POS materials and exclusive merchandise, ensuring the drink – and the brand – remain top-of-mind all season long.

While Vivid Watermelon is available only for summer 2025, a broader rollout in 2026 could be on the cards as more people look to experiment with alternative spirits and fresh Highball serves, and bartenders seek mixers that go beyond the ordinary.
