Tortuga launches distribution app
By Miona MadsenTortuga Logistics, a UK distribution partner for beverage brands, has revealed new branding alongside the launch of a new client app.

Launched in 2018 by Tortuga Brands, the logistics platform aims to equip brands with the necessary infrastructure to ‘grow without compromise’.
The new app features real-time inventory and order tracking for its users, as well as complete control over pricing and profit margins.
In addition, the app provides clear monthly reports and performance insights, along with quick and direct communication with the Tortuga team for sending samples and processing orders.
Ciaran McNicholas, CEO of Tortuga Logistics, said: “We’re not just a logistics and distribution provider, we’re an infrastructure partner for ambitious brands.
“This rebrand and app reflect our mission to dismantle the traditional barriers to growth and provide a smarter, more agile alternative for brands entering or scaling in the UK drinks market.”
Tortuga currently supports more than 40 independent brands, including Pimentae Margaritas, Renais Gin, Mijenta Tequila, Desi Daru Vodka, and Ojo de Dios Mezcal.
The platform provides much-needed additional back-office support.
According to a survey by the UK Spirits Alliance, almost two-thirds (61%) of UK distillers expect to reduce their production due to the rise in spirits duty. In comparison, nearly half (43%) stated that the duty rates would impact their staffing levels.
Tortuga is said to address a critical gap in the market by offering a streamlined and cost-effective route to market for independent and emerging drinks brands.
The platform’s full-service team manages order processing, operations, and finance, while also providing access to a large and expanding customer base that includes major grocery retailers such as Waitrose, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, and Co-op, as well as specialist retailers and leading wholesalers.
Tortuga also provides access to duty-suspended warehousing, nationwide delivery, and cost-effective consolidated distribution, enabling clients to reduce overhead costs while retaining complete control over their pricing.
